Bigger is ALWAYS better – iPhone 6 vs. iPhone 6 plus

iPhone 6 plus size comparison with the iPhone 4 iPhone 6 plus size comparison with the iPhone 4

I have been dithering for sometime over whether to upgrade my old iPhone 4 for a shiny new iPhone 6.  The problem wasn’t whether I wanted one, or the cost, but which one size to go with?

I had some concerns about the size of the iPhone 6 plus.  Some women had complaints about the shear size of the device being simply too big and requiring two hands to operate.  I was more concerned about fitting it into my pocket of my jeans (seriously).  I even did a pocket test on a both iPhone 6 models belonging to my workmates.

So I had finally settled on getting the iPhone 6.  Only to have another workmate mention he had a brand new, still in box iPhone 6 plus for sale.

So the iPhone 6 plus it is.

And … I love it.  Yes I…

Weekly Photo Challenge: Walls ( Okinawa, Langkawi, Chongqing)

More great photograhy

< 3 Photos>

I am trying to put three unrelated photos together, this is an assortment of walls.DSC_0078

The first one was taken in a private property in Okinawa, Japan. I must admit my initial focus was on the red flowers. My attention was subsequently captured by the stone walls which when put together with the plants and flowers seem to make a good picture.DSC_0121A

The second photo was taken in a holiday resort in Langkawi, Malaysia. I was impressed by the architecture of the resort building. The slightly sloping stone walls add a lot to the elegance of the building.DSCF6299

The last one was taken in Chongqing, China. The wall was entirely covered by a mural depicting some history in the past. Apart from a door opening on the right hand bottom corner, it is  somewhat difficult to understand it is a building.

Please enjoy 🙂

The waterfalls of Northern Michigan stir feelings of power, renewal, wonder, tranquility and beauty as they rush forward in their never-ending journey that is part of nature’s wonder. There are many to be seen in my home state, although driving to some near the Michigan, Wisconsin border from where I live in Southwest Michigan would be the equivalent of driving past Pittsburgh, Pa. That’s about nine hours of nonstop driving over a distance of about 500 miles. However, if you take a shortcut via Muskegon’s Lake Express Car Ferry, the drive from Milwaukee is about 300 miles or 5 1hours of driving.

Bond Falls

Two of the falls to visit in the far western Upper Peninsula are Agate Falls and Bond Falls. The pair are great to see in autumn with the colored trees accenting the beauty of whitewater spilling over dark rock formations.

Upstream from Bond Falls is an amazing palette of colors…

Waterfalls ( Big vs Small)

The power and beauty of water.

retireediary

Here are two photos , both of which show waterfalls.

One was taken at the Niagara fall, the water was crashing down in all its mighty.1275803_1384422941789507_1141519837_o

A boat full of visitors was edging towards the waterfall while a rainbow appears to the left. The picture was taken by my classmate KC Ching.DSCF2943A

The second picture was taken by me at the Nine Dragons Group of Waterfalls in Yunnan, China.

The pictures are in dialogue, speaking to each other – with a similar theme but at a different scale.

Instead of a motorized boat, the second picture shows a small sampan being maneuvered near to misty waterfall.

Please enjoy 🙂
