Germany on a grand scale

It is 69 years since the Second World War ended.

Six years of conflict had devastated much of the country .

Do take time to admire in this video the scenic grandeur of the new Germany.

Craggy peaks, some capped precariously by farm homes, and ski resorts.

Fertile wooded valleys, with lush green pastures, rivers and lakes.

Autobahns snaking across the plains to the crowded rebuilt modern cities.

Colourful densely packed red-roofed homes,  and apartments many with bright flower boxes cascading from the balconies.

Ornate cathedral spires reaching skywards in appeal to the God above, that the events of those years will never be seen again.

Will we learn from history?
